Willow Place is a recreation center designed to provide supportive and adaptive activities for adults with disabilities. In Snohomish County, many services for adults with special needs have been eliminated. These cuts often leave them feeling isolated from the community. With the absence of an active lifestyle, positivity and interaction with others, it can bring on loneliness, depression, lack of motivation, obesity and increase the possibility of other health concerns as well. Willow Place has been designed to keep all adults active, engaged, and involved.
Willow Place is intended to be a place of fun and recreation for clients, a supplement to job training, work programs, or school.
Willow Place is partnered with the local school districts to create a specialized recreation program and introduce exiting students and their parents to available community programs. Students may
also continue to attend the program during the summer and after exiting the transition programs. Our diverse programs are geared for many levels to accommodate all our participants with special
needs. Including music, games, arts and crafts, plus more! Guest volunteers often provide other special activities like yoga, drumming, etc. Our spacious exercise room is perfect for many different
popular physical activities. We have many clients who attend more than one session a week so as not to miss out on all the fun and popular activities!
