Quilceda Community Services receives it's funding from many sources. The Residential Program receives public and private funds to operate, though with routine cutbacks, the budgets are consistently tight. The Specialized Recreation Program charges participants minimal user fees for attendance, which partially cover the expenses.
The agency annually writes foundation and tribal grants for Willow Place equipment and supplies, with some success. Annual fund raising events and memorials provide additional funds to support the recreation program. Always welcomed are cash contributions, donated supplies, and in-kind items from the Wish List.
Many participants at Willow Place receive limited Social Security funds (which pay for all leisure activities), so these attendees are limited in their attendance. The agency has a Client Scholarship application process in place enabling caregivers/guardians to request scholarship funds for their person. Using a scholarship, the client reimburses the agency for 50% attendance with the scholarship covering the remaining 50%. Some donors might consider sponsoring participants to attend Willow Place.
Quilceda Community Services has sponsored and promoted numerous capital projects during it's long existence. Seeing the on-going need for quality, low-income housing for adults with developmental disabilities, the agency is researching the development of another single story apartment complex unit for 12-16 disabled adults. Cash contributions or service donations will be needed for permitting, professional services, and start-up costs associated with land development following the research completion.
Quilceda Community Services appreciates the generous support of the local businesses and individual community members who contribute to our programs. Thank you.
