Latest Covid News ~ Residential

For general concerns and questions about COVID-19, please call the Washington State Novel Coronavirus Call Center at 1-800-525-0127.

From Residential manager Connie Smith:

Quilceda Community Services families,

On December 8th, Gov. Inslee extended our stay-at-home orders until Jan 4, 2021.

Quilceda Community Services continues to keep the safety of our clients, our TOP priority. Sadly, this does mean that clients will be staying home for Christmas.

QCS plans on making them a special meal and having them open presents. I know this is not the way many of you envisioned spending the Holidays with your loved ones.

However, as you know our clients are very vulnerable and are high risk for COVID-19.   Most clients would not do well in the hospital alone without family or staff.

We understand some of you disagree with the Governor and Dept. of Health, but since we are a federally and state funded program, QCS will be following these health and safety guidelines.

You can arrange a window visit, sit outdoors 6 feet away, set up facetime, skype or Zoom visits or even a phone call.

Your family member is well taken care of and Healthy and that is the most important thing to remember during these difficult times.

All of our staff are taking precautions to keep the clients and their co-workers safe.

If you choose to ignore the guidelines and take your loved one home for a visit, they will not be allowed to return to the home until they have a negative COVID test.

Indoor Social Gatherings with people from outside your household are prohibited unless they (a) quarantine for fourteen days (14) prior to the social gathering; or (b) quarantine for seven (7) days prior to the social gathering and receive a negative COVID-19 test result no more than 48-hours prior to the gathering. A household is defined as individuals residing in the same domicile.

Outdoor Social Gatherings shall be limited to five (5) people from outside your household.

Long-term Care Facilities:  Outdoor visits are permitted. Indoor visits are prohibited, but individual exceptions for end-of-life care are permitted.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
